Underground, Cuba

Lost Ramblings...

I can't wait to find out why young Charles Widmore wears a jumpsuit that says "Jones". I also love that Desmond's son is named Charlie, after his friend, but coincidentally has the same name as Mr. Widmore, the kid's grandfather and the arch-nemesis of the show...

More Ramblings...

If Richard gives Locke the compass in 2004, and then Locke jumps the same day to 1954 and gives the compass back to Richard... Richard tries to pass it back to Locke in 1961, but fails... keeping it until 2004 when it is given to Locke, who jumps...

Anyway, this compass is in a time loop. If it goes from 1954-2005-1954-2004, it was never created... and is never destroyed. That's impossible.

Now if it was created in, say, 1950... carried until 2004, jumped back to 1954 and was then destroyed, that would make sense. But if it is returned to 2004 only to jump back again, it becomes impossible, especially with the tight time rules that Faraday has been pushing (excepting, of course, Desmond's Constant).

Rambling Again...

I take issue with Jin meeting Rousseau. It's bad enough he's alive, but this meeting makes little sense.

Locke and Richard, I have no problem with... but this just seems wrong.

And why must all the jumps go to crucial time periods? Can't they just happen to be the day BEFORE or AFTER something big happened? I mean, I know that's a boring plot, but still.

And More...

If they can jump to the past or future... why haven't they jumped to a future time when the people have returned to the island? If they did that, they could confirm that bringing them back is necessary.

Final Ramble...

If the Orchid was there before Dharma, who built it?

And I still don't get the whole Christian Shepherd / Jacob thing...

And for that matter, the "ghost" thing (Charlie/Ana Lucia) sucks.
